ARCH North East
Sainsbury’s Acklam Road Event
Saturday 7th April 2018 10am-4pm
Arch North East, based in Middlesbrough, is the specialist provider of sexual violence services across Teesside, offering support to anyone who has been affected. Our services range from ISVA support through the criminal justice process, specialised one-to-one counselling, and support with practical issues such as housing, education, work and benefits.
As part of the “Out Of the Shadows” campaign, Frank Harkin pledged to raise £5000 for Arch North East and as part of this fundraising pledge, Frank, along with his dog Buddy, have been walking/running 500 miles to raise funds and awareness for Arch services. They also set out to highlight the need to talk about sexual violence; to bring it out of the shadows and for victims and survivors to understand that there is support out there for them.
Frank and Buddy have so far completed 404 miles of their journey, and have raised over £6000 for Arch so far! The final leg of their 500 mile journey will take place on April 7th 2018 at Sainsbury’s Acklam, on an exercise bike! Our team will be there to cheer Frank on for his final miles, and to celebrate all of the hard work he has contributed to Arch. We will be celebrating with a cheque presentation for the funds raised so far, as well as Tombola with some fantastic prizes, donated by generous local supporters and businesses.
These prizes include:
• A signed Middlesbrough Football Club shirt
• Gift certificates and days out
• Various gift sets, including Toni & Guy, Soap and Glory and Nivea.
• Chocolates, stuffed toys, homeware, candles, books, makeup, wine and more!
• We would love to invite everybody to join us in cheering on Frank during the last leg of his journey, and celebrating all of his hard work so far!
