Middlesbrough music and theatre fans are in for a huge treat this November as the popular High School Musical is being staged.

This popular and successful show is on at the Middlesbrough Theatre from Tuesday 14 November to Saturday 18 November.

The stage production is based on the first film, released in 2006. It was an instant hit, making international stars of Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron. Many describe High School Musical as being “the Grease of the 21st Century”. It produced several huge hit songs, including “We’re All In This Together” and “The Start Of Something New”.

Like Grease, much of the  story is inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. The story follows two young lovers from different backgrounds and the obstacles they must face to be together.

With a show full of catchy tunes and memorable dance moves the Middlesbrough Theatre production of High School Musical is not to be missed.

Tickets for the show start at just ₤10.50. They can be booked on the official Middlesbrough Theatre website –
