A revised list of upcoming services and social club events has been published on the Darlington Hebrew Congregation website (http://www.darlingtonhebrewcongregation.org.uk/home).
Members of the Middlesbrough Jewish community are encouraged to check the dates and details, making contact and arrangements accordingly.
The Darlington Hebrew Congregation is the only formal community serving people of the Jewish faith between York and Tyneside. Members of the Jewish community living in Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar and North Yorkshire are particularly welcomed accordingly.
Whilst all are welcome space is limited. Those wishing to attend any of the events and services listed on the site are strongly encouraged to contact the Darlington Hebrew Congregation to indicate their attendance. They can be reached via email, firstname.lastname@example.org, or through Facebook, www.facebook.com/darlingtonhebrewcong .
The calendar shows the dates for services and events up until August 2018. Yom Kippur, one of the most important dates on the Jewish calendar, is 30 September 2017.
In keeping with being a part of the world which truly embraces all cultures the North East of England provides a vibrant, supportive and highly committed home to members of the Jewish community. Although the number of Jews living in the area has diminished over the years the great sense of community they have is stronger than ever.
If you are Jewish and live in Middlesbrough, Redcar, Stockton or another area of the region please don’t feel isolated and alone. The Darlington Hebrew Congregation welcomes all, with non-Jewish partners always being made to feel at home.
