It’s that most magical time in Middlesbrough. Once again the calendar has come around to one of the greatest and popular events held in the town – the Reindeer Parade. Get ready to see the reindeer pull Father Christmas through the streets in his sleigh!
The annual Middlesbrough Reindeer Parade takes place on Sunday 26 November 2017. The main event takes place between 1pm and 3pm, although there are plenty of festivities happening before and after the parade.
There’s a bit of a change to this traditional parade this year. A whole new route has been mapped out especially for 2017. Here’s the route in place.
START – Teesside University
Southfield Road to Linthorpe Road
Linthorpe Road to Corporation Road
END – Town Hall
As well as the Reindeer Parade – and the chance to get a glimpse of Father Christmas – there’s plenty to do on the day. The vintage fairground attractions will be up and running, and the Christmas market stalls will be open.
In order to ensure the smooth running of the Reindeer Parade there will be some parking restrictions and road closures. Please refer to local radio stations for updates.
The Reindeer Parade serves as the true start of the festive season for most in Middlesbrough. As usual, thousands are expected to come along and support this wonderful event. It really is an occasion which sees the community come together, celebrating the good times ahead.
The whole team here at Middlesbrough Events are looking forward to an extra special event this year. We’re looking forward to seeing you at the Reindeer Parade this Sunday.
